Links and Smileys - 26th Aug
Good news - the bug that was preventing the use of links and smileys in forum posts has been fixed. The troubleshooting and resolution process went like this:

Profile comments from joy00 - 27th August
The battle continues. Our spammer who was playing with people's hearts on wednesday has returned and tried a new angle of attack with comments on your profiles.
The new user profile has been deleted and that means the profile messages will have also gone. Once again, sorry about the inconvenience. Once again the account has been banned and the IPs blacklisted so with any luck joy will get the message.

Should the right to vote (in local and national elections) be withdrawn ...
It is quite common for people to be apathetic when it comes to voting. Local elections often attract far less than 50%; general elections only a little more. Trade Union representatives, board members for charities etc. are often elected and given a mandate to change policies with a minority of members voting, even though they are often provided with a prepaid postal vote.
