Should the right to vote (in local and national elections) be withdrawn ...
It is quite common for people to be apathetic when it comes to voting. Local elections often attract far less than 50%; general elections only a little more. Trade Union representatives, board members for charities etc. are often elected and given a mandate to change policies with a minority of members voting, even though they are often provided with a prepaid postal vote.
